MBS Set-up Tips
Listed below are some set-up tips as racers gain
experience with the new MBS tire. Some of these tips come from racers across the country that are having great success with the MBS
tire. These tips are meant to pass along information and will not work in
all situations or car types.
-
Use less stagger on a locked rear axle.
-
Increase right side tire pressures 1 to 2 psi.
-
PSI split between RF and RR should be no more
than 1 psi.
-
MBS tires perform best in maximum grip
conditions. Tighten the car to put more grip in the right side.
-
A spring change of 10 to 15 pounds on the
right side. (Quarter midgets)
-
Keep the car from sliding. A locked
down car is faster with MBS tires.
-
More air = more heat = more grip. (To a
point)
-
Increase tire pressure approximately 2 psi
more than your race set-up for qualifying.
-
Compressed air will heat faster and increase
psi more. Nitrogen will increase less and stay more consistent.
